Hello Masterpieces,
I came back from Cost Rica recently this summer. This trip was extremely special because it was my mom and I first international trip together. We started taking mother-daughter trips in 2014. In 2014, my mom had never sailed on a boat or rode a plane. She’s done both of those now. It was those small steps that gave her the courage to go out of the country.
Costa Rica is one of my favorite countries that I’ve visited. The people were so kind, and the landscape was breathtaking. My mom and I didn’t go far from the resort. However, we were adventurous in our own way. I did excursions- horseback riding, rode an atv, partied on a boat and at the resort, and attempted to scuba dive.
My mom wasn’t feeling any of that. She stayed in the room excited to just eat fruit and see the monkeys play in the park. She faced her fears of being near large bodies of water. She even got a massage for the first time. I tried to convince her to get one before. She objected to “having some random person rubbing on her”. So, when she told me that she would get a massage, I jumped with joy and hugged her. The massage was huge coming only a few years after her first pedicure.
As I look back at this trip, I think about the law of inspired action. It is closely related to the law of attraction. The law of inspired action is about actionable steps that come from a nudge. I didn’t picture years of mother-daughter trips. It was just one task off my “To Do Before 35 List”. In 2014, I couldn’t imagine a trip to several other states and especially a trip out of the country with my mom. We weren’t close, just had a functional relationship. A sense of togetherness, freedom, joy, and healing has taken place because of my obedience to the holy spirit. This is more beautiful than any garden or ocean view. I encourage you today to follow that nudge because you may be in the adventure of a lifetime.
Onwards and Upwards,
Phyllis G. Williams

Thanks for sharing your insight with us. Inspired action comes from within.
It moves us to do things that increase our lives. I love that your mom is evolving as well.
Both of you are inspiration for others who may have similar relationships.
Scuba diving, now that's one for the books.
